  2. Painting precisely takes practice. Until you have
  3. mastered precision painting, proceed carefully. Use
  4. the following steps as an introductory guide:

  17. Step 1 - Holding the brush
  18. A steady hand and accuracy are essential when you are
  19. trying to paint where two colours meet. Use a small
  20. brush and narrow the width of the brush by turning it
  21. on its edge to give greater accuracy. Hold the brush
  22. firmly between your thumb and forefinger for maximum
  23. control.

  25. Step 2 - Loading the brush
  26. In order to give greater control over the flow of
  27. paint load the brush so it is about 1/3 full with
  28. paint. Carefully wipe the excess on the edge of the
  29. paint kettle, allowing the extra to run back into
  30. the tin.

  32. Step 3 - Working towards the edge
  33. Start slightly away from the edge and gradually
  34. work your way closer and closer. Squeeze the paint
  35. from the brush slowly.

  37. Step 4 - Drawing the brush down
  38. For a vertical edge gradually draw the brush down
  39. in a continuous stroke. Remember you have to paint
  40. to a wet edge.
